About Me
I'm a queer woman, a parent, a therapist and a sex & relationship educator, currently living and working on unceded Annishnabe Algonquin territory (Ottawa).
I got my start in the social services world over a decade ago working with survivors of sexualized violence and assault. I continue to be incredibly passionate about supporting people as they untangle the effects of trauma in order to bring more joy, pleasure and meaning to their lives.
On top of trauma work, I also have several years experience working with 2SLGBTQ+ communities, with youth, and in the sexual health field. To learn more about my focus in therapy, please click here.
In 2015 I completed my Master’s in Social Work at York University, and I’m a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I frequently seek out supervision, consultation and training opportunities.
As an educator, I also seek to help participants deconstruct stories and myths that have had negative impacts on their lives. I use humour and storytelling when appropriate, and integrate a variety of personal and small group exercises.
